This is one of the prettiest library websites I’ve ever seen — and the simplest. Naturally, it’s the Donald Judd Library in Marfa, TX. The interactive map allows the user to actually see each of the shelves. Drag your mouse over the shelves — and bibliographic info pops up about each book! Kudos to the Judd Library for incorporating such a creative -and useful- visual representation.
I may never visit Marfa (whimper), but I can browse each of the 13,000 books at the Judd Library.

“Judd deeply valued books for their ability to share knowledge. He read the entire Encyclopedia Britannica as a child. He also considered books as beautiful objects to be treated with respect. Objects that serve as tools, instigators, rousers, mind-openers, and soothers. In Judd’s library one can find the community of his awareness, respect, and influence.”
